| The Jerwood Charitable Foundation (JCF) is committed to imaginative and responsible funding across the arts, supporting artists at important stages in their development and with a particular focus on those starting out in their careers. We aim for our funding to allow artists and arts organisations to thrive; to continue to develop their skills, imagination and creativity with integrity.
Dick McCaw’s Writing on the Body, Writing on the Page project forms a key part of a suite of conversations in the visual and performing arts commissioned by the JCF, alongside What is Choreography? (Siobhan Davies Dance Company) and In Conversation, a series of cross-disciplinary conversations across the world of craft, produced by ceramist Clare Twomey. Other current JCF initiatives include the Jerwood Studio at Sadler’s Wells, the Jerwood Visual Arts series, Jerwood New Playwrights at the Royal Court, the Jerwood/Arvon Mentoring Scheme with the Arvon Foundation and Dance UK’s Dancers’ Health Pilot Scheme.
